Summary: "Bad Choice"

I ordered this phone as a replacement to my old office phone. There was no indication that the handset did not come with a jack for a headset - something essential for me.

Additionally, the caller ID does not work well. Instead of displaying the name of the caller, the display shows the name of another previous caller.

I am not happy with this phone at all. Given the choice, I would NEVER order this again.

Summary: "Poor sound and button response"

I've had this phone for 5 months and just ordered a Panasonic to replace it. The concept of a corded and cordless combination phone is great, especially if your job requires you to spend much of the day on the phone. I really wanted to like this phone.

Pros: The handset has a long battery life. The caller ID is easy to access and flip through. The address book is easy to access. It has a low price.

Cons: The speaker portion of both the cordless handset and base are - at best - marginal. The corded handset is unusable. The volume adjustment range is very limited - if you have a quiet-talker on a call, you will constantly have to ask them to speak up. The answer menu is tedious, requiring a lot of steps to setup and reset in the event of a power outage. Dialing is very slow - the buttons are not responsive, frequently requiring redialing if you are used to using a light-touch button.

My old phone was a cordless Panasonic with great sound quality, but it couldn't hold a battery charge for longer than 5 hours. This seemed like a good idea at the time - however, since Panasonic pricing has dropped and I just spent the last three calls with my handset on one ear and my hand on the other so I could hear the discussion. It is back to Panasonic, this time, a corded / cordless combination.

Summary: "Features fine; sound is awful"

I have had this phone for about six months, and the features on it are fine -- pretty standard fare. The problem I have is that I sound like I'm on a bad cell phone, and I have trouble hearing callers as well. It's very unprofessional and I am tired of people telling me they can't hear me. Even listening to messages is difficult. It's really awful and it's being replaced today.

I have had this phone for about a year. Cordless handsets have hardly been used, yet the batteries in both handsets go dead after a few minutes of usage.
